Camber and Greatstone beaches are perfect for learning to kitesurf, they have large, flat expanses of sand, making for shallow water and small waves. Both locations have great wind statistics - that's why we're here!

During the kitesurfing lessons, you'll learn the fundamentals of kitesurfing, including kite control and safety procedures. Our picturesque location in Camber provides the ideal setting for you to master the art of kitesurfing, with its wide sandy beaches and consistent wind conditions.

Our beginner kitesurfing courses are designed to be fun, safe, and informative, ensuring that you have an unforgettable experience. All equipment is provided, 

Course content -  1 Day;

   We start the day with a quick hazard evaluation, safety talk then its on to flying some Power Kites! You will learn about the wind window (flyable area for the kite), and fly training kites and learn how to use your safety release.
   After mastering kite control and learning about kitesurfing kites and how they fly it's on to the setup of the larger L.E.I (leading edge inflatable) kites.

  You will learn how to safely launch and land your kite surfing kite, what to to in an emergency situation and you will also learn all the safety features on the control bar. i.e. quick release and safety mechanisms.

   For the next part of the lesson you will put on neoprene wetsuits and hit the water! You will learn to use the kite to pull you through the water, (this is called body dragging!!!) and it is an essential method of getting back to your board in deep water whilst kitesurfing.

  We finish with packing up of the kites and equipment and a debrief of the key points covered over the course of the day. 
   We have a hot outdoor shower so you can rinse off after your lesson, we also have a hose to wash off any sandy gear.
  
  All the equipment you need is included in the cost of your kitesurfing lesson, this includes kites, harnesses, helmets, buoyancy aids and wetsuits. You can of course bring your own wetsuits and neoprene accessories if you have them, we also have them for sale in our shop.
  We have an outdoor shower for you to rinse off after your lesson, a hose to rinse off kit, and a hot tub available for a small fee for your group. 

  We carry out our Kitesurfing Lessons at Camber, East Sussex and Greatstone in Kent depending on which way the wind is blowing! We are fortunate that we can cover nearly any wind direction from our teaching locations.

Kiteboarding or Kitesurfing? The long running name (depending on where you live) for kiting on a board on the water is kitesurfing. More recently, kiting on a symetrical twin tip board is referrred to as kiteboarding, or on a surf board - kitesurfing. We teach on twin tip boards, once a basic level is acheived you can just 'try' a surfboard or have a lesson with us.
